Mark graduated from University of Toronto in 1999 with
a background in molecular biology & immunology. He had
subsequently obtained a Masters in Physical Therapy in 2005 through
advanced standing option from the same university. Mark has
extensive experience in Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in addition
to treating degenerative and chronic
conditions. He is a fellow of Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy. He has also been practicing acupuncture for many
years and has obtained Certification from the Acupuncture Foundation
of Canada Institute (AFCI) in 2002. Mark is also a certified GUNN IMS Practitioner.
He has received his Intermediate Manual and
Manipulative Diploma in 2002 and subsequently completed the Advanced
Diploma. Mark enjoys teaching and is a registered assistant with the
post-graduate Canadian Orthopaedic Manual Therapy program.
Mark's
treatment approach involves using manual therapy techniques to
restore various tissue mobility followed by specific exercises to
restore function and prevent injury recurrence. Comprehensive
education is given to empower the client to maintain and maximize
their physical capabilities. Having completed marathons, he also has
special interests in running and
other endurance sports.
Mark is also part of the team that provides BOTOX and PRP injection in a multidisciplinary pain clinic at Canadian Centre for Integrative Medicine.
Mark is fluent in English, Mandarin, Taiwanese and conversational Cantonese.
Rick Ho B.Sc.PT, MCISc (manip), MCPA, CAFCI, FCAMPT
Registered Physiotherapist
Rick earned his degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Western Ontario in 2001, and completed his Master of Clinical Science in 2009. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy and certified with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. Rick is very active in the Physiotherapy community, as a registered Mentor for Western University, Clinical Instructor for University of Toronto and an Assistant Instructor with the Orthopedic Division of the
Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
Rick's main passion is athletic injuries. He has worked with a wide range of athletes from recreational to professional, in many different sports including golf, soccer, running, cycling, skating, martial arts and many more. Rick has been a volunteer physiotherapist with Skate Canada, and is a currently completing his certificate in Sport Physiotherapy.
He is an avid golfer, cyclist, rock climber and scuba diver.
Rick is fluent in English and Vietnamese.
Flora Wang Msc. PT, MD, PhD, MCPA
Registered Physiotherapist
Flora (Zhanfei) Wang graduated with a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from Queen's University with prior MD and PhD degrees in Medicine. She had practiced as a cardiologist for seven years in China and subsequently completed her post-doctoral training at the University of Western Ontario.
Flora is enthusiastic and dedicated to maintaining the highest standard of care for her clients. She had received post-graduate training in therapeutic taping, McKenzie techniques, hip and shoulder assessment and treatment, cervical spine articular dysfunction, as well as Diagnosis and Treatment of Movement impairment syndromes (Sahrmann). Flora has also received a certificate in acupuncture and soft tissue massage through extensive training in China.
Flora's treatment methodology includes manual therapy, specific exercises, modalities, motor-repatterning, therapeutic taping and acupuncture. In addition, thorough education on pathology, ergonomics, posture, aerobic exercises, and prevention of recurrence is also provided to the client to encourage self-management. Flora believes that the clients can achieve the greatest benefit by actively participating in the treatment process, and by treating the cause instead of just the symptoms.
Flora is fluent in both English and Mandarin and she is dedicated to providing highest quality services for each individual client.
